Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster has acquired a majority stake in AgriDirect BV. The contracts that finalized the acquisition were signed on Thursday the 2nd of March in Münster.
With more than 600 employees (both domestically and abroad), Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster (LV Münster) belongs to the 100 largest media companies in Germany. LV Münster publishes journals, books and modern media, specifically oriented towards the agriculture and food industries. LV Münster currently owns 30 journals and public titles, making the organization the foremost European publisher of agricultural media.
AgriDirect has been operating for years as the leading company when it comes to direct marketing in the agriculture sector. The company owns agricultural databases that encompass the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Austria and the United Kingdom. These databases allow AgriDirect to offer innovative communication services in the Netherlands, Germany and further abroad.
AgriDirect will continue to operate using the same name, and from the same locations in Roggel (Netherlands), Viersen (Germany) and Poznan (Poland). The Management Board, which initially consisted of Thieu Hendriks and Els van Wylick, will be extended to include Mr. Tobias Plogmaker.
Thieu Hendriks, director of AgriDirect BV, had the following response to this development:
“For many years, we have been working with Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster. By joining forces, we will create new and interesting services for our clients. These services will be based on the combination of print products and direct marketing services, both traditionally as well as online. I am looking forward to our cooperation and the chances it will bring for the future.”
Herman Bimberg, representative from the board of Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster, also sees the opportunities of this cooperation:
“We continue to see clear opportunities for the general communication mix, and this cooperation with AgriDirect will allow us to offer our clients improved and better tailored communication recommendations in the future.”
