These are the top tractor brands in your sector
Across the overall agricultural sector, John Deere has the most dominant position, closely followed by New Holland and Fendt. Across sectors, farmers have different preferences for tractor brands. This is according to a survey by AgriDirect in which 10,881 agricultural companies indicated the main tractor brand they use on their farms.

The survey of agricultural businesses, provides insight into the preferences of farmers in the specific sectors of arable farming, cattle, horticulture and the total of all agricultural sectors.
In cattle farming, John Deere is the leading brand followed by Fendt. This is followed by Case IH at around 15% and New Holland (14.1%) falls just outside the top 3 with a fourth place. New Holland is remarkably less represented in cattle compared to the other sectors as the most important brand. In contrast, Deutz and CASE IH are better represented in cattle than in arable farming and horticulture.
Among arable farms, New Holland and John Deere clearly stand out from the competing brands with over 20% each. Following close behind are Fendt (13.2%) and Case IH (12.3%) in places 3 and 4. Besides John Deere and New Holland, Valtra is also relatively well represented among arable farmers as the most important brand.
In horticulture, New Holland is the most dominant brand. Even about 1 in 5 farmers indicate that New Holland is the most important brand. This is followed by John Deere with 15.2% and Fendt (13.2%) occupies the third position. The results are broken down to the top 8 most important tractor brands. As the diversity of brands is great within horticulture, the share of other is also large as a matter of course.
