BO Akkerbouw is the central platform for arable farming and works on tomorrow’s arable farming through research and innovation, among other things. The Plant Health Action Plan of BO Akkerbouw and its 12 members has the ambition: “In 2030, Dutch arable farming will be a leader in sustainable cultivation methods”. For this Action Plan, insight into progress is desired. Based on intensive consultation between BO Akkerbouw and AgriDirect, a questionnaire was drawn up. This was then conducted by telephone among 400 Dutch arable farms to gain insight into the progress of the action plan.
Geert Pinxterhuis, project leader Plant Health Action Plan: “AgriDirect’s strong point is that they really think along with us. What do you want with the result of the research? Are we asking the right questions? Are we giving the right answer options? As a follow-up step, they provide a great presentation of the results, including the important interpretation from their extensive knowledge and expertise in the market and with research.”
The Plant Health Action Plan survey is a biennial survey. In early 2023, AgriDirect conducted the telephone fieldwork for the third time. “We have been working closely with AgriDirect since 2019, and firmly intend to continue doing so in the future. AgriDirect is a very committed, collaborative and results-oriented research partner. And we certainly also appreciate the personal, pleasant contact with Luke and Ivo,” says Geert.
